Spike Proteins and Long COVID

The etiology of Long Covid is being exposed by recent research.

The manufacturing of the COVID-19 vaccine was a revolution for rapid manufacturing of a vaccine, during the pandemic of 2020-2022.The use of the new vaccine was controversial. Some authorities were opposed to its use with an EULA. Rather than injecting a viral particle into the body and having an antibody develop, the COVID viral particle is not the capsid but a "spike protein' that attaches the virus to the cell wall.

COVID immunization commences with an injection of mRNA programmed to manufacture spike proteins that activate the immune system. The mRNA remains active and circulates for an indefinite period, and can be measured for an indefinite time. The metabolism and detoxification process is not well understood.

The science of COVID and COVID vaccination is still a work in progress. The vaccine did not go through the rigid FDA protocol and was prematurely released with an EULA, bypassing long-term evaluation of side effects and complications. Unlike mot drugs vaccines are usually released during an outbreak of infectious disease which is deemed to be public health threat.

The COVID illness and the vaccine have some common issues.

Common Symptoms:

Fatigue
Brain fog or cognitive difficulties
Headache
Chest pain or shortness of breath
Muscle aches and weakness

Loss of smell or taste

Sleep disturbances

Less Common Symptoms:

Gastrointestinal problems (e.g., nausea, diarrhea)

Heart palpitations or arrhythmias

Lung damage

Kidney problems

Neurological issues (e.g., seizures, stroke)

Autoimmune disorders

Mental health issues (e.g., anxiety, depression)

Long-Term Effects:

The long-term effects of COVID are still being investigated, but some studies suggest that certain symptoms may persist for months or even years. These include:

Chronic fatigue, Cognitive impairment, Lung damage, and Autoimmune disorders.

Studies show the spike protein is cleared within several weeks by autophagy and

immune response. The Infectious Disease Society of America (IDSA) estimates that the spike proteins that were generated by COVID-19 vaccines last up to a few weeks, like other proteins made by the body. The immune system quickly identifies, attacks and destroys the spike proteins because it recognizes them as not part of you. This "learning the enemy" process is how the immune system figures out how to defeat the real coronavirus. It remembers what it saw and when you are exposed to coronavirus in the future it can rapidly mount an effective immune response.

Where does the vaccine go?

Here's a peer-reviewed study that shows where intramuscular vaccines (which all three of the COVID-19 vaccines are) travel in macaques (a type of monkey). Vaccines mostly remain near the site of injection (the arm muscle) and local lymph nodes.

This makes sense: Lymph nodes produce white blood cells and antibodies to protect us from disease. A key part of the lymphatic system, lymph nodes also clean up fluids and remove waste materials. Finding pieces of spike protein in the lymph nodes is completely normal, because lymph nodes act as the trash removal service for the body. That means the vaccine did its job (made spike proteins, which caused the creation of antibodies) and will be cleared from the body.

Another peer-reviewed study tested exactly where an mRNA vaccine went in mice. Most of the mRNA vaccine stayed in the injection site muscle – where you get the shot. Look at Table 1. A lot of mRNA vaccine was found in local lymph nodes, which peaked about eight hours after the shot was given. A much smaller amount of mRNA vaccine went farther
